All worksheets, practice tests, answer keys, bundles, images, designs, text, layouts, logos and other materials sold or provided by PLANet Academics (the "Materials") are original works protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and international copyright law. Copyright is owned exclusively by Ravindu Balasuriya trading as PLANet Academics.
You buy a licence to use the Materials, not ownership of them. Your permitted use depends on the licence you purchased (see Part 2). Except as your licence expressly allows, or as permitted by the Copyright Act 1968 in a way that cannot be excluded, you must not:
- copy, reproduce, print or photocopy the Materials beyond what your licence allows;
- share, forward, email, sell, resell, sublicense, lend, give away or otherwise distribute the Materials (in full or in part, free or for payment) to anyone outside your licence;
- upload, post or store the Materials on any publicly accessible website, blog, social media platform, file-sharing service, online marketplace (including Teachers Pay Teachers, Etsy, eBay, Facebook groups or similar), or shared drive open to people outside your licence;
- edit, adapt, translate, rebrand, or remove or obscure any copyright notice, logo, watermark, buyer identification or licence information;
- claim the Materials, or any derivative of them, as your own work;
- use the Materials, in full or in part, to create competing products for sale or free distribution;
- use the Materials, in full or in part, to train, fine-tune, test or prompt any artificial intelligence or machine-learning system, or put them into any AI tool to generate similar content; or
- scrape, bulk-download or systematically extract content from our website.
Buyer identification. Downloaded files may include your name, email address or order number printed on each page. This is to deter unauthorised sharing. Removing or altering it is a breach of these terms.
Enforcement. Unauthorised use is copyright infringement and may result in:
- immediate termination of your licence without refund;
- takedown notices sent to any site hosting the Materials; and
- legal action for damages, additional damages, an account of profits, injunctions and legal costs.
To report suspected misuse, email [email].
Trade marks. "PLANet Academics" and our logo are trade marks of Ravindu Balasuriya. NAPLAN is a registered trade mark of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). PLANet Academics is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to ACARA, the WA Department of Education or any government body. Our Materials are original practice resources written in the style of NAPLAN questions. They are not official NAPLAN tests or past papers.
Terms and Conditions
1. About these terms
1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of our website planetacademics.com.au ("Website") and every purchase or free download of Materials from PLANet Academics ("we", "us", "our").
1.2 By using the Website, downloading, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms, our Licence Terms, our Refund Policy (Part 3) and our Privacy Policy (Part 4).
1.3 If you do not agree, do not use the Website or buy the Materials.
2. Who can buy or sign up
2.1 You must be 18 years or older to make a purchase or to sign up for a free sample or our emails. The Materials are intended for use by children, but purchases must be made by a parent, guardian, carer, tutor, teacher or school.
2.2 If you buy on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Licence types
3.1 Home Licence. One household or one private tutor may:
- print unlimited copies for children living in that household, or for that tutor's own private students; and
- store the files on their own personal devices.
A Home Licence does not cover use in a school, classroom, tutoring centre or organisation, or by more than one tutor.
3.2 Classroom Licence. One named teacher may:
- print unlimited copies for students in their own class or teaching group;
- display the Materials on a classroom screen or interactive whiteboard; and
- share them with those students only, through a password-protected school learning platform (e.g. Connect, Seesaw, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams).
A Classroom Licence covers one teacher only. Additional teachers need their own licence. A Classroom Licence does not permit sharing with other teachers, other classes, a whole year group, a whole school or a school network.
3.3 Whole-school and multi-teacher licences are available on request. Email [email].
3.4 All licences are non-exclusive, non-transferable and perpetual, provided you comply with these Terms. A licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms.
3.5 Free samples are licensed under the Home Licence terms unless stated otherwise.
4. Prices and payment
4.1 All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
4.2 PLANet Academics is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is included in our prices.
4.3 Payments are processed securely by our third-party sales and delivery platform, Payhip, using the payment processor Stripe. We accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We never see or store your full card details.
4.4 We may change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already paid for.
4.5 If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of an error, we may cancel the order and give you a full refund.
4.6 School invoices. Schools may request payment by invoice. Materials are released after payment is received, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Delivery
5.1 Materials are delivered digitally. After payment, a download link is emailed to the address you provide, usually within minutes.
5.2 You must enter a correct email address. We are not responsible for failed delivery caused by an incorrect address, a full inbox, or spam filtering. We will resend on request.
5.3 Download links may expire or have a limited number of downloads. Save your files once downloaded. We will reissue a link on reasonable request.
5.4 No physical products are sent.
5.5 You are responsible for having a device able to open PDF files and, if you want to print, a printer.
6. Educational content disclaimer
6.1 The Materials are practice and revision resources written to support the Year 3 Australian Curriculum as taught in Western Australia, and the style of NAPLAN questions.
6.2 We do not guarantee any particular test result, score, band, grade or academic outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control.
6.3 We take care to make the Materials accurate. If you find an error, please tell us and we will correct it and send you an updated file free of charge.
6.4 The Materials are not a substitute for professional educational, psychological or medical assessment or advice.
6.5 Adults should supervise children when they use the Materials.
7. Website use
7.1 You must not misuse the Website. This includes attempting to hack, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, introducing malicious code, or using bots to scrape it.
7.2 We try to keep the Website available and accurate, but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7.3 The Website may link to third-party websites (e.g. our payment provider). We are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
8.1 Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL"). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the ACL or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8.2 See our Refund Policy (Part 3) for how we handle problems.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 8:
- (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, including loss of data or loss of opportunity, arising from use of the Materials or the Website; and
- (b) our total liability to you for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.
9.2 If you acquired the Materials for business or school purposes (not personal, domestic or household use), and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the Materials or refunding the price, at our option.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any loss, cost (including reasonable legal costs) or damage that arises from your breach of these Terms or infringement of our copyright.
11. Suspension and termination
If you breach these Terms, we may immediately end your licence, refuse future orders and take the action described in Part 1. You must then stop using and delete all copies of the Materials.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on the Website when you make a purchase applies to that purchase. We will change the "last updated" date whenever we make changes.
13. General
13.1 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia and courts that can hear appeals from them.
13.2 Severability. If any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or removed, and the rest continues in effect.
13.3 Waiver. If we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we have waived it.
13.4 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Materials.
13.5 Contact. [email]
Refund Policy
1. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have a minor problem fixed within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
If there is a major failure, you can choose whether you would like a refund or a replacement.
2. Digital products and change of mind
Because the Materials are digital files, delivered instantly, that can't be "returned", we do not usually offer refunds for change of mind. This includes:
- deciding you no longer need the product;
- buying by mistake after downloading the files;
- your child no longer needing practice; or
- finding a similar product elsewhere.
We may offer a refund or credit for change of mind at our discretion, but we are not required to.
3. When you are entitled to a remedy
We will fix, replace or refund (as the ACL requires) if:
| Problem | What we'll do |
|---|---|
| File is corrupted, blank or won't open | Send a working file; refund if we can't fix it |
| Product is significantly different from its description | Refund, or replacement if you prefer |
| You never received your download, and we can't deliver it | Full refund |
| Content has errors that make it unfit for purpose | Corrected file; refund if it is a major failure |
| You were charged twice for the same order | Refund of the duplicate charge |
4. Wrong licence purchased
- Bought a Home Licence but need Classroom: email us and you can upgrade by paying the difference.
- Bought a Classroom Licence by mistake: email us within 14 days, before using it in a classroom, and we will refund the difference to a Home Licence.
5. Bundle duplicates
If you bought individual packs and then a bundle that contains them, email us within 14 days of the bundle purchase. We will refund the price of the duplicated packs, up to the price of the bundle.
6. How to request a refund
- Email [email] with your order number, the email used at checkout, and a description of the problem (screenshots help).
- We will reply within 3 business days.
- Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through our payment provider. Your bank may take 5–10 business days to process them.
7. Refund abuse
If we give a refund, your licence to use those Materials ends and you must delete all copies. We may decline future orders from anyone who repeatedly requests refunds after downloading, or who shares Materials without permission.
Privacy Policy
1. Our commitment
PLANet Academics respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). As a small business we may be exempt from parts of the Privacy Act, but we choose to follow the APPs as best practice.
2. Information we collect
When you buy or download:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your country and, where the payment provider requires it, billing address; and
- order details (products, price, date, licence type).
When you sign up for a free sample: your email address, and your name if you choose to give it. We only ask for what we need to send it to you.
If you are a teacher or school: your school name and, for invoices, your school's billing details.
When you contact us: anything you choose to include in your message.
When you visit the Website: technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring website. This is collected by our website host and, if we use them, privacy-friendly analytics tools that do not use cookies.
What we do not collect:
- full credit card or bank details (these are handled directly by our payment provider);
- information about children. Our Materials are used by children, but purchases are made by adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
3. How we use your information
We use it to:
- process your order and deliver your download;
- send receipts, download links and updated or corrected files;
- respond to your questions and refund requests;
- issue invoices and keep records for tax purposes;
- detect fraud and unauthorised sharing of our Materials (e.g. buyer identification on files);
- improve our Website and products; and
- send marketing emails, but only if you have opted in (see section 4).
4. Marketing emails
- We send marketing emails (new products, NAPLAN reminders, special offers) only with your consent, for example when you sign up for a free sample and tick the opt-in box.
- Every marketing email includes an easy unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails, or by emailing [email]. We will stop sending you marketing emails within 5 business days, and usually straight away.
- We never sell, rent or trade your email address.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
| Provider type | Example | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Sales and delivery platform | Payhip | Checkout, file delivery |
| Payment processor | Stripe | Processing payments |
| Email service | [e.g. MailerLite] | Sending emails |
| Website hosting | [e.g. Netlify] | Hosting the Website |
| Analytics | [e.g. Plausible / Google Analytics] | Understanding Website use |
| Website fonts | Google Fonts | Showing the Website's fonts (your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address) |
| Professional advisers | Accountant, lawyer | Tax and legal compliance |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights (for example, when copyright is infringed).
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our providers store data outside Australia, including in [the United States, United Kingdom and European Union]. We choose reputable providers with strong security practices, but overseas laws may differ from Australian law.
7. Cookies
Our Website does not set any cookies of its own, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
When you check out or download through Payhip, Payhip and Stripe use cookies that are needed to make checkout work and to prevent fraud. Their own privacy policies explain these.
If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but checkout may not work properly without them.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. These include using secure (HTTPS) connections, reputable providers, strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is completely secure.
Data breaches. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.
9. How long we keep information
- Order and tax records: at least 5 years, as required by Australian tax law.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
- Emails with us: as long as reasonably needed to help you.
After that, we securely delete or de-identify the information.
10. Access, correction and deletion
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations, such as tax records.
To ask us to delete your information, email us from the address you used (or tell us which address it was). You do not need to give a reason, and we will confirm once it is done. Unsubscribing only stops marketing emails, so let us know if you would also like your details deleted.
11. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, email [email] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au, phone 1300 363 992.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on the Website, with its "last updated" date.
